a couple years ago, when i lived in Chicago, i attended some writing workshops at my local public library (Neighborhood Writing Alliance). one of our assignments one week was to write a haiku. i wrote this one:
Haiku
1946
summer in Hiroshima
and Nagasaki
it was never workshopped because the instructor wanted to tell everyone (mostly retired people from the area) about the Occupy Movement.
this is one of two pieces i've written about atomic bombs, the first was Now I am become death, the destroyer of worlds. Initiative Games is relevant here too.
